Anti-Graffiti Coating

Cleaning off graffiti can cost a community millions of dollars annually. Across the globe, companies are attempting to develop anti graffiti coatings to prevent vandals from being able to deface public property. Depending on the substrate and the severity of the graffiti problem, different protective coatings have different benefits and advantages. Portolesi Structural can apply sacrificial coatings to form a clear barrier over a surface for protection, semi-sacrificial coatings to act as a penetrating sealer to protect the surface pores or even permanent coatings. Permanent coatings create a protective surface that spray paint cannot bond to, whereby a simple solvent may be required to remove graffiti. Nawkaw

Nawkaw is used due to its durable alternative to colouring concrete. Portolesi Structural can adjust colours of nonconforming panels and patch repairs, or enhances textures with multi toned applications.

NewLook

Concrete absorbs heat and can increase the surface temperature by 38°. NewLook is used for this very reason by incorporating infrared reflective pigment technologies to minimize heat build up in objects exposed to sunlight.

Wattyl PolyU 4000

Wattyl PolyU 4000 is a polyurethane non-sacrificial anti-graffiti clear coating where long-term protection from damage caused by graffiti is required. The clear coating is a barrier to the risk of shadowing after graffiti is removed and has unlimited recoatability. Typically used for protection of walls in high density population areas where damage by graffiti is prevalent.

Dulux Durathane Clear

Dulux Durethane Clear is a non-yellowing polyurethane of high gloss and flat finish. It's outstanding chemical and abrasion resistance and exterior durability, when used in conjunction with epoxy primers is an excellent system for chemical and corrosion resistance.

Dulux Quantum FX & Dulux Quantum Clear

Dulux Quantum FX & Dulux Quantum Clearcoat are both suitable for exterior and interior use with exceptional graffiti resistance which can be wiped clean with Dulux Graffiti Eraser. It's highly resistant to UV and weathering and resists chalking and degradation, ensuring its exceptional lifespan. It's high gloss finish and metallic sparkle and semi gloss finish (Dulux Quantum FX) and enhancing that finish (Dulux Quantum Clearcoat) makes it suitable for a wide range of substrates.

Dulux Weathermax HBR

Dulux Weathermax HBR anti-graffiti paint has a long term durable finish for both interior and exterior areas. With its ability of graffiti resistance to wipe clean with Dulux Graffiti Eraser, it is also easily recoatable with itself after detergent degreasing and light abrasion. It's higher film builds has been specially formulated for brush and roller application, with superior flow out of brush marks.

Acrathane IF & Acrathane IF Clearcoat

Acrathane IF & Acrathane IF Clearcoat is another product often used and is an isocyanate-free catalysed acrylic finish for long term durability in both exterior and interior areas. It's colour range, whether normal Dulux Specifier colours as well as sparkling aluminium and clear varieties, allows it to be used and matched to its surroundings. It, too, can be wiped clean with Dulux Graffiti Eraser without losing its colour. Furthermore, it can be sprayed on site and with its excellent chemical resistance it is suitable for chemical plants, oil platforms and refineries.
