Viterra - Outer Harbor Operating Terminal

Viterra operates a grain storage and handling network spanning key growing regions in South Australia and Victoria, including seven operational port terminals located along the South Australian coast.  With a total storage capacity across the network of more than 10 million tonnes, the storage and handling facilities are accredited to meet the highest national and international standards of quality control and food safety management through best practice policies and procedures.

Operating a Terminal and Bulk Loading Plant at Outer Harbor, Viterra implemented an ongoing surface treatment rectification works and maintenance schedule upon commissioning of the plant.  As part of this schedule, surface treatment rectification works were required in 2016, with Portolesi Structural contracted to undertake the works. 

With a work force consisting of up to 7 at times, Portolesi Structural offered an effective solution to surface treatment rectification works to the ship loader structure, pressure washing and blasting in accordance with EPA guidelines, and returning the surface to appropriate standards.

Portolesi Structural are accredited with the CSIRO under the Painting Contractor Certification Program (PCCP).
