Hopkins Correctional Centre (HCC), located in Ararat, Victoria, provides medium-security accommodation for prisoners. With a prison expansion in progress, the community-style prison will be one of the first in Victoria to be designed in line with the Better Living Model, balancing community protection with prison rehabilitation and the need to reduce reoffending.

Major construction works commenced in 2013 and are due for completion late 2014. Throughout the year-long partnership, Portolesi Structural has been an integral part of the project, providing a solid team and expert knowledge in specialist concrete repair work that will enable the project to maintain its critical path.

The project will be delivered providing a 740-bed capacity, within an integrated, multipurpose correctional precinct comprising the new and existing facility, Corella Place and external facilities.
